Reigning champions Kilkenny are safely through to the semi-final stages of the Leinster MHC while Wexford scored a thrilling extra-time victory over Dublin.

The Cats strolled to a convincing 3-25 to 1-13 victory over Offaly in Nowlan Park.

James Bergin raised his side's opening green flag to help establish a 1-14 to 0-4 interval lead and they never looked back.

Wexford's Rory O'Connor showed nerves of steel to send their fixture versus Dublin to extra-time.

The Innovate Wexford Park scoreboard read Wexford 0-15, Dublin 1-12 at the end of the regulation 60 minutes and the Model County prevailed by 0-21 to 1-14 after extra-time.

There was no such drama in O'Moore Park as Laois enjoyed a comfortable 3-20 to 0-9 victory over Carlow.

In Cusack Park, five points without reply helped Westmeath overcome a stiff challenge from neighbours Meath on a scoreline of 1-17 to 0-15.

The Lake County led by 0-10 to 0-5 at the halfway stage but it took a late scoring burst from the hosts to see them over the line.
