It's no surprise to hear that Colm Cooper doesn't subscribe to the view that Dublin will dominate Gaelic football over the next few years.

Speaking to the Irish Daily Star at Abbey CBS, Newry in his role as an AIB ambassador this week, the Kerry star described the suggestion that the Dubs could become the first county to win a five-in-a-row of All-Irelands as "dangerous talk".

He said: "They are there on merit, and if you look at the demographics of the team, they're a young team by and large so they're going to be around for the foreseeable future.

"Now, the dangerous talk is that they're going to win the next four or five All-Irelands. We heard that in 2011 after they won that one, then they lost to Mayo (in the 2012 All-Ireland semi-final) and Donegal (in the 2014 All-Ireland semi-final).

"We know more than anyone else how hard it is to win back-to-back first of all, so I'm sure they will be concentrating on that.

"We've had a few goes at it and it's very difficult to do. You need to keep the hunger up. You need a lot of things to go right.

"So it's loose talk to say Dublin can come along and win everything. Yes, they have the population, yes they have the resources, but that alone won't get them there I'm afraid, in my opinion."
