Foxrock Cabinteely are the new Queens of Dublin football winning the senior championship crown in convincing fashion over a shell shocked St Brigids side who simply had no response to the power, pace and precision of their opponents.

St Brigids got the opening score of the 2015 final when full forward Elaine Kelly drove over a well taken point just inside the 3rd minuteof the game remarkably Kelly's point would turn out to be St Brigids only score of the first half.

Kelly's point appeared to spark Foxrock Cabinteely into life with Hannah Noonan, Sinead Goldrick, Amy Connolly and Amy Ring all on the score sheet with some well taken points, Ring's point coming from a free in the 8th minute.

St Brigids were thrown a life line when corner forward Leah Mullins was fouled in the small square resulting in a penalty being awarded  by match official Billy O'Connell.

Up stepped St Brigids centre back Sorcha Furlong to take the penalty kick but the Dublin star saw her grass cutter of a shot go to the right and wide of Carol Mannings post much to the dismay of the huge number of St Brigids supporters in the stadium.

Foxrock Cabinteely absorbed any pressure that St Brigids threw at them to finish the first half of the game strongly with the in form Amy Ring hammering home her sides first goal of the evening in the 29th minute to leave nine points between the sides at the break, HT Foxrock Cabinteely 1-07 St Brigids 0-01

The South Side club began the second half in similar fashion and appeared to be able to score at will. Sinead Goldrick, Laura Nerney and Amy Connolly all getting on the score sheet with some well taken points pushing the Fox Cab lead out to 12 points.

In the 44th minute of the game Foxrock Captain and Westmeath Inter County Star Fiona Claffey was fouled by the St Brigids defence resulting in the second penalty of the night being awarded.

Anne Marie Murphy from Cooley in Co Louth stepped up to take the penalty kick. She blasted her shot past Ciara Trant in the Brigid's goal to give her side a 2-10 to 0-1 lead.

To their credit St Brigids kept fighting and were reawarded for their efforts when corner forward Leah Mullins bagged two goals for the Blanchardstown club. Mullins first goal came in the 45th minute while her second was scored just before the finish in the 59th minute .

Previously to Mullins second goal Amy Ring had sealed victory for her side when she blasted a superb shot to the roof of Ciara Trants goal.
