Good win for Seneschalstown

Cork 1-16
Dublin 3-5

Dublin's minors bowed out of the All Ireland series on Saturday last following a five point defeat to Munster champions Cork.

Martin McDonnell's Dub's got the dream start when Cork conceded a penalty within seconds of the throw in the resulting free kick was expertly converted by corner forward Amy Conroy.

Without having time to draw breathe Cork replied with 3 under answered points to leave the sides level with just 6 minutes gone on the clock.

Dublin then hit Cork with two quick goals the first scored by wing half back Emily Flanagan the second netted by corner forward Emma Colgan. Before Cork got time to regroup Dublin where awarded a second penalty and an opportunity to push their lead out further and leave 10 points between the sides.

Amy Conroy stepped up one more to take the penalty kick this time however Conroy's powerful shot blasted off the cross bar and into safe Cork hands.

Cork finished the first half strongly popping over a number of well taken points so at the break Dublin's lead had been cut down to just 2 points, Dublin 3-03 (12) Cork's 0-10 (10).

On the resumption it was Cork who got off to a strong restart tagging on 1-04 to their score sheet without reply.  Cork's only goal came from half forward Shauna Cronin the Mayfield player intercepted a short Dublin kick out only to finish the ball to the back of the Dublin net.

Try as they might Dublin simply couldn't get their scoring boots back on indeed their first score of the second half came in the 23rd minute but by then Cork had pulled away to lead by 4 points with time ticking away in favour of the rebels.

Despite their best attempts and never say die attitude Dublin simply could not muster up a response to the rebel challenge.  Full time score Dublin 3-05 (14) Cork 1-16 (19).

Cork will now advance to play Galway in the Minor All Ireland final on August bank holiday Monday in what will be a repeat of the 2014 decider.  Cork will be aiming to stop Galway from collecting their 3rd Minor All Ireland title in a row.
