Dublin's hurlers have received a boost ahead of Sunday's Division 1 semi-final against Cork with the news that Conal Keaney will be free to play.

Keaney has been exonerated of the charge of stamping on Limerick's Cian Lynch by the GAA's Hearing Committee.

Referee Diarmuid Kirwan didn't take action during the quarter-final clash at Croke Park but the CCCC subsequently initiated a review of the incident and found the Dublin talisman guilty of the offence.

The player refused to accept that decision and appeared before the GAA's Central Hearings Committee which ruled in his favour.

A statement from the Hearings Committee explains: 'disciplinary action was commenced by the CCCC against Conal Ó Cianaigh for allegedly stamping.

'A Hearing was requested as he chose not to accept the proposed penalty. The Hearings Committee found that the Infraction as alleged was not proven and directed that the Disciplinary Action be at an end.'
