Dublin's bid to reclaim the Sam Maguire Cup will be boosted by the return of Alan Brogan this week.
Question marks have hung over the 33-year-old's future ever since last year's All-Ireland SFC semi-final but manager Jim Gavin has revealed he will rejoin the squad in the coming days.
Speaking to 98fm following yesterday's 11-point league win over Monaghan, when asked about the 2011 Footballer of the Year's future, Gavin answered: "Back after this game, that was always the plan over the last number of weeks.
"The plan was for a long time Alan joins us next week, after the normal rounds of the national league, so he'll be reintroduced to the squad next week."
A regular on the Dublin panel since 2002, Brogan's experience will be a vital asset to the metropolitan's squad as they try to atone for last year's defeat to Donegal.
