Jim Gavin wouldn't like to see 13-a-side matches introduced to Gaelic football.

The All-Ireland winning manager made his feelings on the matter known after Saturday's 'Game for Anto' at Ravenhill, which was a 13-a-side affair due to the tighter dimensions of a rugby pitch.

"There is no right way or wrong way to play Gaelic football, but in the Dublin teams I've managed, we play in a particular style," the Dubs boss said.

"I believe in an attacking style of football and an expansive game."

Despite coming out on the wrong end of a two-point defeat to the Ulster All Stars, Gavin was pleased with how his team played in what was their first outing since August's shock All-Ireland semi-final loss to Donegal.

"We hadn't seen each other since the All-Ireland semi-final so it was nice to meet up with them today and our whole objective was to go out and put our best foot forward, and make the game as competitive as we could against the top players in Ulster."
