The Freshers Blitz will take place on Wednesday the 8th of October in NUIG.

 

All cups can be returned on the day (AIT - Senior, UCD - Intermediate, Mary I - Junior). Please ensure that they are cleaned and engraved.

 

To Enter a college needs to notify the HEC Secretary (DJ Collins) by email no later than 5pm Friday  the 3rd of October. No entries will be accepted after this date.

Entry fee is €50 for a first team and €25 if a college wishes to enter a 2nd team. Colleges are only allowed enter a maximum of 2 teams.

Entry fees can be paid on the day.

If a college withdraws from the competition after 5pm on the 5th of October, there is a €250 fine. Until this fine is paid, any league games scheduled for that college will be deemed as a loss until the fine is paid.

For the purposes of this competition Freshers are defined as students who are entering Third Level Education for the first time.

Students who have been registered on other colleges and then transfer to year 1 of a course in a new college are not regarded as Freshers. (Third Level Education includes Universities, IT's and PLC Colleges).

Panels are to consist of a maximum of 12 players. All Players must be submitted on the registration form and be present at registration with their college id cards.
