In the week that Donegal manager Jim McGuinness compared Dublin's financial backing to that of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, the Ulster champions are spending five days at a training camp.

McGuinness' remark about Dublin's finances has raised a few eye brows in the capital and ever more so now that it has been revealed that the Donegal squad and management team are in Johnstown House in Enfield, Co Meath since Wednesday until next Sunday.

The five-day training camp comes just a little over a week ahead of their All-Ireland semi final against the Dubs and McGuinness explained his reasons for the training holiday  to the Donegal Democrat.

"It's about getting our preparations nailed down. We want to get our preparations done by Sunday and then next week will be very much about getting down to the game," said McGuinness.

Donegal go into the match as 7/1 outsiders against red hot favourites Dublin, but McGuinness is sure to be working on a game plan to combat the reigning champions.
