Dublin's Con O'Callaghan lifts the leinster MFC cup. INPHO
Rising dual star Con O'Callaghan will switch his focus to hurling this week after inspiring Dublin to their third Leinster MFC title in four years yesterday.

O'Callaghan, who scored 1-7 in the Dubs' 3-16 to 1-12 victory over Kildare, will line out for the county's minor hurlers in the All-Ireland quarter-final next Sunday against the losers of tomorrow night's Munster MHC final replay between Limerick and Waterford.

"I was just saying it to him, that the celebrations would need to be very controlled because Pat (Fanning, minor hurling manager) is interested in him for next weekend," Dublin minor football boss Cyril Kevlihan remarked.

"But Con is such a fine young man that I know he'll do whatever is needed to do. It's lovely to have him in our side. I wouldn't like to have him against us. He's a great leader and showed it today."

Dublin will now face beaten Munster finalists Cork in the All-Ireland MFC quarter-final and Kevlihan added: "I'm sure the Cork guys were out there and having a look at us today. I know they're a fine side."
