Croke Park was the place to be today for the national football league semi-finals.

First up, at 2pm, Connacht champions Mayo locked horns with competition surprise packets Derry.

This was followed at 4pm by the mouth-watering clash of holders Dublin and new-look Cork.

With all four teams just two wins away from collecting major silverware, there was no quarter given.
