Down's Maureen O'Higgins has become the first lady elected to serve as a delegate to Ulster Council.

It was a proud moment for Maureen, her family, her club Liatroim Fontenoy's and for Down GAA when she was welcomed at the recent Ulster Convention by incoming president Michael Hasson.

With Cavan referee Maggie Farrelly and Tyrone chairperson Roisin Jordan leading the way, Maureen is the latest lady to make GAA history in Ulster.
