05 July 2011 - No joy for the seniors in Ballintra

Back to the Club Page

No joy for the seniors in Ballintra last Thursday evening in the championship where we lost out by 2 points to a more determined home side, we now face a play off probably in Tirchonaill Park on the weekend of 24th July. The reserves enjoyed better fortune, progressing through to the first round proper of the intermediate reserve championship after an exciting 1 - 6 to 9 points draw.

Both teams are away to Buncrana this Saturday evening in the all county league.

There was no winner of last weekend's Slotto jackpot, winners of 40 Euro each for nearest to correct sequence were Willie Rose, Ardaghey and John Brady, Dundalk, sequence drawn was 2-3-7-1-5-6 & 4. This weekend's jackpot will be 930 Euro.

The Ulster Final in Clones on Sunday week (17th July) is all ticket, orders are to be with club secretary, Tina (087-6407702) on or before this Thursday evening (7th) at 9 o'clock. No late orders please as we understand from the county board that orders received by them after Friday might not be accepted.

Well done to the players, management and all involved in the under 16 division 3 league final win over Naomh Columba last Friday evening in Fintragh.

The under 16s play Naomh Conaill at home this Monday evening (11th) at 7.30 in the division 2 championship 1st leg.
