27 September 2011 - A great weekend for the club started

SENIOR / RESERVE/ UNDER 21
A great weekend for the club started with our minors winning the southern regional final, beating Four Masters by a point on Friday evening and ended with our seniors comprehensively beating Urris in the intermediate championship semi final on Sunday afternoon in Convoy. The only downer was the loss by our reserves to Aodh Ruadh on Saturday evening in the reserve championship play-off after a lot of injury time followed by extra time. We now find ourselves looking forward to 2 county finals (intermediate and under 21) as well as the minors in the county semi final. Well done to players and management in all cases and many thanks to all the supporters who were out and about in support over the weekend.

Back to league action this weekend with both seniors and reserves playing Milford at home on Saturday evening, let's keep the support going now until the end of what we hope will be the most successful year ever in the club's history for both ladies and men.

LADIES
A cake sale in aid of St Naul's Ladies will be held in Mountcharles Community Centre this Sunday 2nd October at 12 noon. Please come along and support the ladies on what is proving to be an historic year for the club.

SLOTTO
There was no winner of last weekend's Slotto jackpot, winners of 40 Euro each for nearest to correct sequence were Michael O'Driscoll, Mountcharles and Fengxia Bioon, c/o Brennan's Filling Station, sequence drawn was 6-1-4-5-7-2 & 3.
This weekend's jackpot will be 1,770 Euro.

UNDERAGE
The under 13s had a successful trip to play Naomh Columba on Saturday morning last, winning on a scoreline of 4 - 11 to 1 - 8. Congratulations to Patrick (Pap) Breslin who alone forecast the correct score in the All-Ireland Final and thus won the 150 Euro prize.
