Donegal manager Rory Gallagher admits that they know enough about Cork to not take them for granted.

Much has been made of Cork's erratic form this year, but they are still in the last 12 of the All-Ireland SFC and Gallagher told the Donegal Democrat that Cork will pose a huge threat to his charges.

The sides have met in the league and championship on a number of occasions in recent years and there has been little to separate them.

The Donegal manager feels it will be another close encounter when the sides meet at Croke Park on Saturday week.

"We know them fairly well. Like ourselves they have been around the latter stages of the championship in recent times," said Gallagher.

"We have met them twice in the championship in recent times and we have met them a good few times in the league so we have a fair idea what they will bring to the table.

He added: "People are saying that Cork are no great shakes. But that is not how we see them. They have played a couple of games and should have the defeat well out of their heads at this stage and we are preparing for a formidable challenge. It certainly is not going to be easy."
