Donegal GAA are on the lookout for a Commercial & Marketing manager to help boost sponsorship and revenue in the county.

The cost of running GAA teams is growing by the year and counties have had to come up with many ways of fundraising.

Donegal GAA have decided that the appointment of a commercial manager is the best way forward in this respect.

Speaking to the Donegal Democrat, county board treasurer Cieran Kelly revealed that it is something that they have been looking at for some time.

"It is something we have been considering for sometime and we decided in principle at our meeting on Monday night," said Kelly.

"We finally approved to bite the bullet on the issue and approve the appointment of a commercial and marketing manager.

"We need to raise substantial funds, both for the day to day running of the association in the county and also the centre of excellence in Convoy and other capital projects."
