Donegal heading in right direction

Donegal manager Ardal McDermott is confident that their luck is changing.

A poor league campaign saw them relegated back to 3A, but missing a number of key players certainly didn't help their cause.

However, a decent performance against Armagh in the Nicky Rackard Cup last weekend has given Donegal a major boost as they prepare to take on Fermanagh this weekend.

Speaking to the Donegal Democrat, McDermott is confident that they can get their campaign back on track now that some of their injured players are returning.

"Our luck has begun to turn in recent weeks, though when I stepped on the bus on Saturday morning to head to Armagh, Jamesie Donnelly came up to me and told me he wasn't feeling the best and had been sick earlier and the night before. Fair play to Jamesie, he started but we had to pull him off before half time. He wasn't feeling well at all.

"But yeah, the lads have slowly been coming back to the team and we have been stronger in the last couple of games and the performances have improved."
