Corey O'Reilly has been called up to the Derry team for today's All-Ireland U21HC semi-final meeting with Kilkenny in Thurles.

The Kevin Lynch's star made a big impression off the bench in last month's Ulster final victory over Down, scoring two goals in a minute as the Oak Leafers secured their first provincial title in this grade since 2008 following a 3-17 to 1-9 victory.

O'Reilly's Lynch's clubmate John Mullan, whom he replaced at half-time at Corrigan Park the last day, misses the cut due to injury but could play a part against the Cats after being picked amongst the substitutes.

Derry (All-Ireland U21HC v Kilkenny): F McEldowney; S Higgins, P Turner, R McCartney; E McGill, C Steele, S McGuigan; C McAllister, C Kelly; T Magee, O McKeever, C O'Reilly; D Cartin, C O'Doherty, B Cassidy.

Subs: C McCrystal, B Laverty, G Farren, J Mullan, P Burke, F McGurk, S Cassidy, S F Quinn, R McWilliams.
