Tyrone 0-10

Corner back Conor McCluskey's injury-time goal sealed victory for Derry over Tyrone in the Ulster MFC quarter-final at Celtic Park.

There had been little to separate the teams until the final 20 minutes when the hosts started to pull away. It was 0-8 to 0-7 in the Oak Leafers' favour at the interval.

Oisin McWilliams, Brian Cassidy and Larry Kielt had early points for Derry before full forward Matthew McGleenan opened Tyrone's account in the seventh minute. Three more unanswered points from goalkeeper Benny Gallen ('45'), Tomas Carey and Daniel Kerr had the Red Hands 0-4 to 0-3 ahead by the end of the first quarter, but Derry wrested back the lead through scores from McWilliams and Eoghan Bradley.

A pair of Emmet McNabb efforts restored Tyrone's lead, only for the home side to reply with scores from Fergal Higgins, Padraig McGrogan and Larry Kielt to edge in front before the break.

After James Devlin levelled on the restart, Higgins and Carey traded points to leave it 0-9 apiece after 37 minutes. But Derry took control thereafter thanks to points from Kielt (two), sub Lorcan McWilliams (two), another sub Seamus Higgins and Patrick Quigg before McCluskey's late major added gloss to the scoreline.
