Glen opened the scoring with goal from Marc Cudden who was briefly on as blood sub got on the end of a Emmet Bradley pass and fisted to the net. Conor Convery then grabbed a fine point from play. Glen also got pointed frees from Emmet Bradley (2) and Danny Tallon (1). Banagher also scored 4 points from frees and one from play in the opening period. Half time score Glen 1.04 Banagher 0.05. Banagher were aided by the breeze in the second and scored the first three points of second period (2 frees & 1 point from play). Ciaran McFaul kicked over from acute angle and a Tiarnan Flanagan goal soon followed after a Marc Cudden shot was well saved. Emmet Bradley and Danny Tallon then converted pointed frees. Banagher scored two points but Danny Tallon scored another point and in the closing minutes Paul Gunning put game beyond doubt with well taken goal. Glen Scorers: Danny Tallon 0-03, Emmet Bradley 0-03, Ciaran McFaul 0-01, Conor Convery 0-01, Marc Cudden 1-00, Tiarnan Flanagan 1-00 & Paul Gunning 1-00. Final score 3.08 Banagher 0.10. Minor Football: The minors travelled to Lissan for their first league game (13-a-side) and on heavy underfoot conditions showed great character to come away with a 1 point win. Despite going 3 points down early on the lads worked their way into the game and soon had the game level. It was then nip and tuck until Dara Higgins slotted the ball into the top corner of the Lissan net to leave the scores Lissan 0-06 Glen 1-05 at the break. The second half continued in the same vein as the first and we clung onto a 3 point lead until mid-way through the half when we found ourselves reduced to 12 men. Despite this the lads dug deep and defended very well and managed to secure a 1 point win despite constant pressure from the home side. Full time score: Lissan 0-10 Glen 1-08. Team: Caolan Convery, Dylan McAleer, Cahan Murray, Caolan Bradley, Aidan Hughes, Conleth McGuckian, Oran McGill, Tiarnan McCusker, Jack Gunning, Eunan Mulholland, Dara Higgins, Eoghan Young, Andrew Ferguson. Niall Gallagher for Jack Gunning, Jack Gunning for Dara Higgins.

Senior Camogie: The senior Camogs played their first league game of the season on Thursday evening away to Magherafelt. Glen took a while to settle into the game but after Naimh Gallagher opened the scoring with a point from play the girls took command of the scoreboard. Points from play followed from Cathy Patterson, Niamh Gallagher got her second and the impressive Breena O'Loughlin hit 2 in a row to give Glen a more comfortable lead. Niamh Gallagher added a point from a free before Danielle McCrystal and Eimear McNicholl opened their accounts with a point each to leave the half time score Glen 0-8 while Magherafelt failed to register a score.

Magherafelt scored first in the second half with a pointed free but Breena O'Loughlin cancelled it out pointing from play. Niamh Gallagher converted another free but Magherafelt then hit three unanswered points all from frees. Danielle McCrystal got her second point before Magherafelt scored yet another free. From here on Glen totally dominated play and Niamh Gallagher added to her tally when she pointed a free. Danielle McCrystal got the first of Glen's goals and this was followed by Breena's fourth point. Substitute Ciarrai Convery made her mark the next goal and point then midfielder Caoimhe Glass got in on the act scoring a fine point. Danielle McCrystal again found the net for Glen's third goal. Sharp shooter Niamh Gallagher finished the scoring with two more points from play to leave the final score Glen 3-17 Magherafelt 0-5. This was a fine display of camogie from goal keeper to the substitutes used and the work rate shown by the girls was very good. The defence kept the forwards at bay, snuffing out any threat from the opposing attackers, the midfielders worked hard throughout the game and scoreboard shows how well the forwards did, all in all a good run out.
