TWO COUNTY SCÓR SINSIR TITLES FOR CLONDUFF
Amazing standard on the night! Competition was very close in most of the disciplines and none more so than in the Solo Singing and Ballad Group.
Clonduff winners:
Solo singing - Mary Catherine Murray pipped club mate Colleen Walls to claim the title at her first attempt
Our Instrumental Musicians put on a polished performance to retain their title.
Our Ballad Group put on a magnificent performance in the tightest competition of the evening and it was a very tough job for the adjudicators who gave the decision to Saul and we wish them all the best in the Ulster Semi Final. Congratulations to all Clonduffians who represented the Club in Scór - whether you won a County title or not you did yourselves, your families and your Club mighty proud. Maith sibh!

SOUTH DOWN SCÓR SINSIR QUIZ
In St Peter's GAA Club, Warrenpoint on Friday 5th February eight South Down Clubs battled it out for the honours. Clonduff and Burren, the reigning South Down Champions, were neck and neck throughout the first 8 rounds with the home side never far behind. They had answered questions as follows: Rd 1 GAA/LGFA, Rd 2 Hurling/Camogie, Rd3 General GAA, R4 Irish History, Rd 5 World History/Geography, Rd 6 Irish Geography, Rd 7 Irish Current Affairs, Rd 8 World Current Affairs. After all that the scores were level! In the 9th round (Irish Culture) Clonduff scored 8/8 while Burren scored 7/8. In the final round (General Knowledge) Burren scored 6/8 and Clonduff got 7/8. Clonduff had won by two points !
After the abundant supper provided by the host club the South Down Chairman thanked the clubs for participating and reminded them about the County Quiz in Glasdrumman on Friday 26th February @ 7.30pm. He presented Burren with the silver medals before presenting the Gerry Fitzmaurice Trophy to the Clonduff team of Brian Canavan, Anita Brannigan, Colin & Paul Shields. This is Clonduff's 4th South Down Scór Sinsir title in 2016 - there's only eight on offer in total!
