Eoin Bradley made it home safely from Egypt yesterday morning and immediately headed for Slaughtneil where he lined out for Glenullin in an important Derry senior football league game.

'Skinner', his girlfriend Emma O'Neill and children Cahir and Cara had been among almost 200 Irish holidaymakers stranded in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh for three days before they finally got a fly home yesterday. The delay meant that he missed Glenavon's 5-1 victory over Irish League rivals Ballinamallard on Saturday.

Hundreds of holidaymakers are still trying to make their way out of  Sharm el-Sheikh after it was announced on Wednesday that all flights between the popular resort would be suspended amid fears that the Russian plane that crashed in the Sinai region killing all 224 on board last Saturday week was brought down by an "explosive device".

Despite being able to call on Bradley, Glenullin lost to county champions Slaughtneil on a 2-5 to 1-9 scoreline, surrendering their Division 1 status in the process.
