It was a good week for our Club with Championship wins for both our Senior and U14 Footballers.
Senior Football
Well done to our Seniors who beat Ballinderry in the first round of the football championship, they now face Foreglen on Fri 4 Sept at 7.30pm on Owenbeg.
U14 Football
In the U14 championship Ballinascreen recorded a great victory over Feile champions Lavey on a scoreline of 4.5 to 2.9. An early goal from Mark Farrelly helped the Screen lads to settle down and with some great tackling and teamwork they dominated to lead at half time by 3.3 to 1.3. Lavey came back strongly in the second half but the screen lads gave an excellent display of disciplined defending with all players showing great work rate. Another goal from Farrelly gave screen a good cushion and although Lavey fought right to the end Screen held on to move into the semi final. Well done boys and keep up the hard work.
Camogie
Well done to our U10 camogs who got to the semi final stages of a tournament in Bellaghy at the weekend.yesterday.
Ladies Football
Well done to Ballinascreen U12 girls who took part in a blitz in Glen on Sunday morning, the girls played very well despite the poor weather.
Thanks to all our members that came out in such big numbers last week to support all our teams in action.
