Magherafelt have the unenviable task of finding a new manager as the season gets into full swing.
With just five league games played, Seamus Doyle has opted to stand down as manager, even though they won two, lost two and drew one.
The County Derry Post reports that Doyle allegedly had a difference of opinion with the club's committee and this led to his decision.
Doyle is not the first managerial casualty this year as Kevin Lynch's John A Mullan and Ballerin duo Gerry Keane and Vincent Moloney have also stepped down.
