Craigmore AGM: The AGM of C&DCA (The Association) will be held in the Glen Centre on Sunday the 12th April 2015 at 6 30 pm prior to the AGM of the CADCA, Limited Company. All members of Watty Graham's GAC and Loan stock members are eligible to attend. The C&DCA (Association) was formed in March 2010 and was the forerunner in the grant application and preliminary work in redeveloping the old social club. This legal entity also has the charitable status. The funder DARD insisted that a LTD Co had to be formed to take the project forward. The "Association" has been virtually dormant for the past two years and it is proposed by the executive committee to dissolve the "Association" and apply for transfer of the charitable status to the LTD Co. The Association has no funds or assets, accounts are prepared to 28th February 2015.
Camogie: The Camogie club would like to thank everyone who supported their Annual Cake Sale & Coffee Morning on Saturday morning. It was a great success. There will be a Camogie Committee Meeting in the Glen Centre on 13th April at 8pm.
Couch to 5K - A running programme suitable for beginners. Registration: Monday 13th April, 7 - 8pm in Glen Centre. {Programme details will be given to each participant at registration}. Schedule: 2 training sessions per week (Tuesday and Thursday evenings). 6.45pm - 7.20pm at Glen pitch. {Participants are to do third session in their own time}. Dates: Starts on Tuesday 14th April. Training finishes on Thursday 4th June (8 Weeks). Cost: £30 for the 8 week training course. Finishing with a 5K RUN in Week 9 - ENTRY FEE £10.
Gaeltacht Scholarships: Thanks to all who contributed to the recent and very successful Irish Language collection held at the St Patrick's Day masses. Any club member who is interested in obtaining a Gaeltacht Scholarship should contact Aine Bradley or Louise Strathern as soon as possible.
Glen2Glen Cycle: On 12th September 2015 we plan to replicate the success of 2013 and have another Glen2Glen Cycle. Our chosen charities this year are both local and very worthy - The Fort Centre (Riding School for the Disabled) and Charis Integrated Cancer Care. After donations to both charities all the funds will be assigned to the provision of new floodlights for the top playing pitch.
Heart Screening: Glen are proposing to hold a heart screening session in April however there will need to be at least 30 participants in order to make it viable. Cost is £35 per person. Screening takes 5 to 7 minutes. Results will be notified to home address. Male and female aged 14 to 35.
