Derry are still waiting to see if Gerard O'Kane will return to the squad for the Ulster championship.

The long serving player took an extended break from inter county football over the winter, but it was widely regarded that he would be back in the squad by now.

O'Kane cited work commitments as the reason for the lay off, but he is playing away with his club and the former Derry captain is keeping himself in good shape.

With so many injuries to players, O'Kane's return would be a timely boost following a league campaign that has seen Derry relegated with one game to go.
