Cubs Club
Our hugely successful cubs club is back and continues on Saturday mornings 10.45am-12pm. This class is aimed at children from 4yrs-P2 and teaches the fundamental movement skills as well as the social skills to help develop your child. The class is delivered by qualified coaches and is an hour of fun that parent and child can enjoy together. Come along this Saturday and have a look, you wont be disappointed. We are also offering the chance to coach our parents, the foundation award below for details.
Under 14 Hurling
Our Under 14s continued their winning start to the Feile na nGael with a ten point win over Slaughtneil. The St Colm's boys started brightly with Shane Grant and Niall Doyle dominating midfield and setting up attacks. They soon built up a five points to no score lead, however, this was cut back with a fortuitous Slaughtneil goal just before the half time whistle. Slaughtneil also got the first point of the second half to reduce the lead to a single point. The Screen boys then took control and started to fire over some impressive scores. The highlight of these was a superb long range effort from Lee Colville. With Ronan McKenna and Oran Fullerton very impressive in the half backs and the returning Emmet Donnelly growing in confidence, Slaughtneil made little headway through the Screen defence. St Colm's ran out winners of 2.11 to 1.04 to make it three wins from three matches.
Thank you to all parents who provided transport to the game. The next game is against Swatragh at home on Wednesday 1st April (time TBC).
