Postponements won't hold up McKenna Cup

January 15, 2015

Weather playing havoc with the McKenna Cup.

The two McKenna Cup semi-finals, which were slated for this weekend, have been deferred until next Wednesday, January 21 after Storm Rachel resulted in the postponement of four of last night's six round three matches.

The Armagh v St. Mary's and Down v UUJ ties were the only games to survive the atrocious weather. The four games that were postponed have been rescheduled for Sunday at 2pm. They will see Cavan take on Monaghan at Kingspan Breffni Park, Derry and Queen's meet in Owenbeg, Donegal face Fermanagh in Ballyshannon and Tyrone host Antrim at Healy Park.

The semi-finals have been pushed back three days with the final still scheduled for Saturday, January 24.
