Camogie: Congratulations to the Under 18 Camogs on winning their competition on Sunday morning.  They had a strong first half going in at half time on a score line of Glen 2-1 Castledawson 0-0.  The second half was a different matter with Glen letting their opponents back into the game and found themselves down by a point but they scored a further goal to lead by two.  Castledawson did get another point but time ran out for any further attacks so Glen won by the narrowest of margins on a score line of Glen 3-2 Castledawson 3-1.  Well done to the players and Briege on a fine way to finish the season.  Team: Amy Glasgow, Rachel Glasgow, Kiera Mulholland, Ciarrai Convery, Aoife McGuckian, Clare McGroggan, Niamh McKenna, Meabh McGirr, Lauren O'Loughlin, Catherine McKenna, Breena O'Loughlin, Eimear McNichol & Caoimhe Mulholland.
Under 21 Football: On Wednesday evening our Under 21's travelled to Ballinderry for their championship quarter final. Ballinderry aided with the considerable breeze started brightly but Glen kept themselves in contention with a well taken Cathal Mulholland goal. Conor Convery soon added another goal after a Stevie O'Hara assist. Half time score Ballinderry 0-06 Glen 2-04. In the second period Glen added some file points from Ciaran McFaul and Paul Gunning and then killed the game off with a Conor Glass goal and a converted penalty from Oisin Hegarty. Final score Ballinderry 0-08 Glen 4-09. On Saturday evening we then travelled to Swatragh for the semi-final - our third away match on the trot! Swatragh had the better of the opening exchanges and went two points up. However we soon settled and fired over points from Emmet Bradley, Conor Convery (free), Stevie O'Hara and Michael Warnock. Emmet then ran through the heart of the Swatragh defence and blasted to the net. Conor Convery and Michael Warnock then added the next five points for Glen with Swatragh responding with three to leave the half time score Swatragh 0-07 Glen 1-09. Swatragh started brightly in the second period and at one stage reduced the deficit to two points. Danny Tallon and Conor Convery then added points before Danny blasted to the net after a perfect Ciaran McFaul through ball. Further points from Emmet, Spike, Danny , Stevie and Cathal Mulholland left the final score Swatragh 0-13 Glen 2-16. Glen now progress to the South Derry Final with the opposition yet to be determined.

If everyone pulls their weight this will be a very successful fundraising venture. Please play your part!
Come Dine With Me: Watty Graham's are holding a 'Come dine with me' on Saturday 15th November. We are encouraging all members and parents of underage players to become a host of 8 or 10 friends for the evening. We are asking for £20 per head (£15 minimum). If your cooking isn't of Gordon Ramsey or Nigella Lawson standard then it's perfectly acceptable to pay a quick visit to the local Take-Away, Chinese, Indian or Pizza outlet. The organising committee consists of Joe Mallon, Stephen Murtagh, Fergal McCusker, Aileen McKenna, Barry Slowey, Bernard O'Loughlin, Eamon Convery, Niall Mallon, Roisin Lagan, Una McGroggan, Conor Molloy and Ronan McKenna. The plan is for all hosts to encourage their guests to be ready to leave their home from 10pm onwards and a free shuttle bus will be provided in order to bring everyone to the Glen Centre where live music will be offer. Should be a great night's craic and a great fundraiser for the club.
