Slaughtneil hero Gerald Bradley insists his Derry SFC-winning flick definitely crossed the line.
The corner forward rose highest to flick the ball goalwards in injury time in Sunday's county final against Ballinderry. The goal was awarded even though the holders insisted that 'keeper Mickey Conlan had prevented the ball from crossing the line.
"It was a goal," Bradley insists in The Derry Post. "Before the game we talked about if we had a free or a sideline to put it into the square because anything can happen.
"I went in, the high ball came in, I flicked it. As soon as I flicked it I ran away because I knew it was a goal. I just knew it was a goal.
"I just don't know if anybody else got a flick on it or what but I'll claim the goal. But I definitely knew it was a goal."
