Chrissy McKaigue admits that Slaughtneil left it late in Sunday's Derry SFC final.
Gerald Bradley's last-gasp goal gave Sluaghtneil a dramatic 1-8 to 0-9 victory over holders Ballinderry at Celtic Park and the county man concedes that he thought his team had missed the boat:
"We did leave it late. And in fairness I thought that the game had gone," he says in The Irish News.
"We had missed three or four relatively handy chances but then we got, I suppose, a fortuitous goal at the end.
"But, look, we deserve a wee bit of luck. We have not had much luck in recent years but this year the luck has been with us."
