Slaughneil 1-8
Ballinderry 0-9

Slaughtneil have completed a Derry SFC and SHC double after a hugely contentious late goal from Gerald Bradley handed them a dramatic victory over holders Ballinderry before an attendance of 5,132 at Celtic Park.

Seeking their fourth title on the trot, the reigning Ulster club champions looked to have done enough when Collie Devlin's free edged them 0-9 to 0-8 ahead. But there was late twist when Chris Brennan's sideline into the Shamrocks' goalmouth was connected with by Bradley and squirmed under goalkeeper's Mickey Conlan's body.

Ballinderry argued that the ball hadn't crossed the line, but the goal stood and Slaughtneil were champions.

The holders had led by 0-7 to 0-4 at the break thanks to scores from Conleith Gilligan, Collie Devlin, Raymond Wilkinson and sub Daniel McKinless.

But with Patsy Bradley immense at midfielder, Slaughtneil fought back to level through points from Paul Bradley and Padraig Kelly before the late drama unfolded.
