Gerard O'Kane is adamant that he shouldn't have been sent off during Glenullin's Derry SFC quarter-final defeat to Dungiven.

The losers' centre back O'Kane and full forward Eoin Bradley both received straight red cards towards the end of the 1-10 to 0-11 defeat last weekend and the county man insists he was hard done by:

"You can look at it that I let myself down and I let the team down but I swear I never struck," he states in The Derry Post. "I grabbed the man around the neck and fired him off me and I got a straight red for it.

"The last five minutes things got a little bit ragged. I was sent off; Eoin was sent off. I would still maintain that I didn't deserve to be sent off.

"Barry Cassidy said to me that he didn't see the incident but was informed by the linesman that I had to go."
