The 2014 Derry senior hurling championship semi finals take place this weekend.

Owenbeg is the venue for an attractive double header as Ballinascreen take on Slaughtneil at 2pm and this will be followed by the meeting of Swatragh and Kevin Lynch's at 3.30pm.

The first match is a repeat of last year's final which Slaughtneil won and they will be favourites to advance to yet another final.

In the second match, Kevin Lynch's are slight favourites to advance to the decider, but they will have their work cut out against a well drilled Swatragh side.
