Senior Football: After going through the league unbeaten in 2014, Glen travelled to Celtic Park on Saturday for their Championship Quarter Final against Castledawson. However straight from the throw-in it was evident that Castledawson were going to provide a stern test. Castledawson scored first however Glen got back on top through a Ryan Winton goal. Castledawson soon responded with a goal of their own and also added a second when Glen failed to deal with a long ball that ended up in the net. Glen had good goal chances that they failed to capitalise on. The second period continued in similar fashion to the first with Glen failing to show their potential. Castledawson aided by the breeze tagged on a few points to run our deserving winners on a scoreline of Glen 1-08 Castledawson 2-11. Overall a very successful season for the team and can now look forward to senior football in 2015.
