Muldoon knows their tougher tests ahead

Ballinderry manager Fabian Muldoon knows that his side will face sterner tests in the championship following their comfortable win over Newbridge.

Fourteen points separated the sides at full time, but Muldoon stressed to the County Derry Post that there was plenty to work on ahead of their clash with Eoghan Rua in round two.

"That's why we didn't make any changes, so that they would work out the problems themselves. At the end of the day, we would like to think that the players can manage it on the field," said Muldoon.

"We struggled for long periods in the first half but in the second half we got it together a bit better and we turned over three or four Newbridge possessions in their own half and got a few scores out of them.

"But your aim is to get through the first round and then you can set your stall when you hear the draw and start looking to the next game."
