O'Mianain left disappointed

July 30, 2014
Eoghan Rua manager Padraig O'Mianain admitted that he was bitterly disappointed to lose their first ever senior hurling championship match.

Two points was all that separated them and Ballinascreen in the end, which was a brave performance by the Coleraine outfit who were competing in the senior championship for the first time ever.

Nonetheless, their manager was not happy with just putting in a performance and he stressed to the County Derry Post that they went there to get the win.

"We're disappointed," admitted O'Mianain. "We didn't come up here thinking it's a great achievement just to be out of intermediate or junior.

"We came with the intention of winning and it just didn't go our way. We had a few injuries out there, we had a few boys injured before the game, and we didn't take our chances."
