Baptism of fire for Na Magha

Na Magha defender Brendan Quigley knows that they must improve if they are to compete at senior level.

After a lengthy absence from the senior ranks, Na Magha made their return to the top flight last weekend, but suffered a heavy defeat to Swatragh.

And Quigley admitted to the County Derry Post that they must step up a level if they are to compete in the senior ranks.

"We were honest with ourselves afterwards. Things haven't gone the way we would've wanted them to over the last couple of weeks in terms of preparation and we've had a few injuries and that but, to be honest, I think we need to up it a bit in training and we need to aim for a 60-minute game really," said Quigley.

He added: "I think we have a lot to take from the game, especially in the first half, but we alos have to learn from the second half. We have to learn a lot."
