OUR FUTURE IS IN ALL OUR HANDS. . .

It was with great sadness that I learnt of the death of our esteemed former Chairman and player James Mc Nally on Thursday past.
James had held the position of Chairman and vice chairman of St Colms GAC Ballinascreen for a number of years. During this time his leadership and managerial qualities were very much in evidence. He played a leading role in the securing and development of our second playing field and was instrumental in the construction of the extension to the stand. During his tenure there were many other developments which he was responsible for, he worked tirelessly and was totally committed to the development of the club.
All through his lifetime, James has been a loyal Ballinascreen man, as a club member, player and administrator. James leaves behind a great legacy which will be of great benefit to the future generations for many years to come.
Even during his illness James attended many games and functions and continued to support our club.
Not only has Ballinascreen and Derry lost a great Gael, but the entire community has lost a person from whom we took great inspiration and he will be sadly missed by everyone
I wish to take this opportunity on behalf of the club to extend our heartfelt sympathy to James 's wife Teresa, his son Francis, daughters Joan, Eilish and Helen, his brothers and sisters and the entire family circle.

Ní bheidh a leithéidí arís ann.
Beannacht Dé lena aimm
