Michael Davitt GAC Swatragh club notes

July 07, 2014
The club is hoping to organise a charity cycle in association with Carn Wheelers later in the year. There would be three routes involved with a novice, intermediate and experienced circuit to cover all levels of ability. We are aware that other clubs are organising their own cycle dates so we do not wish to clash. The initial date would be early September so that would give us 12 weeks to get organised. Please contact the club if you have any ideas or suggestions for dates and routes.

The minor footballers beat Steelstown away in the City in the league 2-08 to 1-08. The U14 footballers lost at home to Ballinascreen 6-13 to 6-04 with goals coming from JP McGuigan (3), Barry Walsh (2) and Sean Kearney. The reserve footballers were awarded the points as Foreglen failed to field on Sunday past.

The club is on Twitter, please follow @davittswatragh, many thanks.

Club lotto numbers on Saturday past were 4,5,8 and 17. There was no jackpot winner but lucky dip winners were Pat Bradley (Snr) and Mary McNicholl. Jackpot currently stands at £2500. Bingo takes place every Sat night at 9pm with the jackpot at £2500 for 42 numbers.

Would you like to do the club lotto every week? Is there ever a week when you forget or are on holiday? How would you feel if that was the week your numbers came up? The jackpot has went twice in the last 2 months with both winners receiving at least £5000!!! Worry not, you can sign up for a standing order which means you don't have to fill out a slip every week but will still be entered and can use your same numbers without fear of ever forgetting them. Call into to club registrar Noel McGrath and he can sign you up in a matter of minutes.

The club shop is open in Mary O'Kane's shop on Main St, Monday to Friday throughout the summer months.
