Chrissy McKaigue insists Derry won't be fazed by the challenge of taking on Dublin in Sunday's Allianz League Football final.

The Oak Leafers have already beaten the All-Ireland champions this year and full back McKaigue sees no reason why they can't do it again.

"We will not fear them, but we will respect them for all they have achieved," he told the Coleraine Chronicle.

"But I would very much expect us to put up a very good performance. I think if we can produce the performance we put in against Mayo with 14 players we could very easily win the game. We will have to be on our toes for 70 minutes because Dublin can click at any moment and once they click they are relentless. I don't know how they'll start, or how we'll start, but we have to impose our own game on them.

The former Aussie Rules recruit is also confident that Sean Leo McGoldrick - who will miss the league decider with a knee injury - will be available for Derry's Ulster SFC opener against Donegal.

"Sean Leo's absence would be a big loss but what I have been hearing is very, very positive," he continued.

"He's a bit of an 'iron man' and he doesn't get injured too often. I wouldn't be too surprised to see him play against Dublin, but there is no doubt that he will be playing against Donegal. No doubts!"
