Meath v Kildare Semi-final

Think this will be a good one. Both us and them seem to be going in the right direction. Kildare had a good league, after a slow start we had a good league. Both had big wins today and both supporters have a bit optimism again. Expect a big crowd. Who wins this one?

Perhaps ruairi ocaoilean or James mcentee (if fit) over eamon Wallace can't think of any other changes I'd do

Same team for me with James Togher starting (although Eamonn Wallace could lose out if James McEntee is fit to start). They will have to set up more defensively the next day.

Disagree, Kildare's best player is niall Kelly at center forward, need our best defender marking him at center back and that's keoghan not power

Andy will not be thinking about who Kildare have or have not in what ever positions, nobody stays in the same position anymore
he will be more interested in putting his best possible team on the pitch and we are more balanced wit keoghan in corner

Think man for man we are better than Kildare. If we get everything right we could really do a job on them

I think what Burke brings to the team is very underrated. Due to his work rate, attitude and fitness when other Meath players are under pressure (with opposition players around) countless times Burke is the only Meath player available to take a hand pass. He has some engine on him. Personally I like to see him picking up a man out the field a bit as this allows him to play to his strength's.

ah come on now surely your not serious, of course andy will be thinking about who kildare are playing in what position, for a manager not to do that is an absolute insult to the opposition

He will definitely not be thinking about who is playing where on the opposition that is something he has no control over, he will be solely focused on HIS team and preparing them for the game and that means getting the best lads he can on the field in their best position regardless of the players they may be marking obviously he will look at match ups but only after he has his team picked

I would agree with you on that, don't get some of the criticism against him. He definitely can't be accused of a lack of effort over the last few years when things weren't going too well for us, I know that doesn't mean he should start but he was always comfortable coming out with the ball against Louth and gave good ball to set up attacks.
