Connacht rivals Mayo and Roscommon returned to Croke Park this afternoon to replay their All-Ireland SFC quarter-final.

The neighbouring counties played out a dour draw at HQ last weekend and both were hoping to push on today, with a semi-final date with Munster champions Kerry on August 20th up for grabs.

The Rossies were bidding to become the fourth provincial winners to successfully negotiate the quarter-finals, while Mayo were seeking to secure their by-now-perennial place in the business end of the championship - a seventh successive semi-final.
