Donegal have booked their place in the semi-final stages of this year's All-Ireland MFC courtesy of a 2-13 to 0-13 last eight victory over Cork in Croke Park today.

Midfielder Jason McGee and substitute Shane McGrath netted the goals as Shaun Paul Barrett's charges overturned a four point half-time deficit to see off 14 man Cork.

The team in red and white were the better team in the opening 30 minutes but McGee's goal 26th minute goal kept the Ulster champions in touch and they trailed by 1-3 to 0-10 at the halfway stage.

A significantly improved second-half Donegal showing resulted in them outscoring the Munster runners-up up 1-10 to 0-3 after the resumption.

The sides were level - 1-9 to 0-12 - at the three quarter hour mark but McGrath's 57th minute goal was the icing on the cake and put the game beyond Cork's reach.

The Rebel County's woes were compounded when Alan McCarthy was sent off.

Donegal's reward is a semi-final date with Galway who edged out Laois on a scoreline of 3-10 to 0-12 in Tullamore.
