Since
his retirement as a jockey, he has had a successful back operation
and is now back riding out and regularly rides work, which
he finds very important when it comes to knowing when his
horses are ready to win! Just last year he had a great thrill
when he won the Charity race at the Punchestown Festival on
Licence.

Some
of the highlights of his training career would have to be
Pedrobob winning at this years Cheltenham Festival,
The Posh Paddy winning the Bumper at the November Cheltenham
meeting in 2004 owned and ridden by Barry Connell and a treble
on St. Stephens Day in Leopardstown in 2003.

Tony
has a great eye for a horse. Over the years he has bought
and produced a lot of good horses such as Barrow Drive (Grade
1 winner), Supreme Developer (Grade 1 winner), LAntartique
dual bumper winner before going to be trained in England and
went on to win at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Aranleigh
bumper winner and third in Champion Bumper in Cheltenham and
more recently Cool Reply who just won a bumper at this years
Listowel Festival for owner / rider combination Barry Connell.
