Dublin M50 PPP Motorway Scheme

Project Details   
The project involves the design and construction of widening of 24 Km of the M50 motorway to provide 3 lanes in each direction and auxiliary weaving lanes between interchanges, and additional lanes on the M1 between the airport and the new port tunnel entrance.

There are significant works on 8 interchanges to provide future free flow traffic. The project also involves the future maintainance of the M50 Motorway for 35 years.   

Project Team     
The works are being undertaken by M50  D & C  Ltd. which is a joint venture between local construction company PJ Hegarty & Sons, and two very large Spanish construction groups, FCC Construction S.A., and Sacyr.

The same group of companies are also currently designing and constructing  56 Km of the N6 motorway between Galway and Ballinasloe
