Colm Cooper has been ruled out of Kerry's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Clare.

The Kingdom veteran will sit out Sunday's all-Munster clash at Croke Park due to the shoulder injury he sustained during the provincial final victory over Tipperary.

The Dr Crokes clubman has ligament damage and won't be ready for Kerry's second championship meeting with the Banner County this summer.

Johnny Buckley and Michael Geaney are also unavailable to Eamonn Fitzmaurice, while Peter Crowley returns after recovering from a broken nose.
