Galway and Waterford dominate our hurling team of the week following yesterday's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final double-header...

1. Colm Callanan (Galway)

Denied Clare on two occasions and kept a clean sheet as Galway bounced back from the disappointment of their Leinster final loss.

2. Adrian Tuohy (Galway)

A fantastic hook on Tony Kelly was the highlight of an assured performance by the Tribe defender.

3. Daithi Burke (Galway)

Former 'Hurler of the Year' Kelly was the only starting Clare forward to score against a Galway defence that was superbly marshalled by its full-back.

4. Matthew O'Hanlon (Wexford)

O'Hanlon battled bravely throughout for the Model County but his efforts proved to be in vain.

5. Austin Gleeson (Waterford)

The Deise are up and running again and the Mount Sion ace sent over two fine points against Wexford.

6. Tadhg de Burca (Waterford)

The Waterford 'sweeper' played a significant role in nullifying the threat posed by Wexford full-forward Conor McDonald.

7. Aidan Harte (Galway)

Like de Burca, the Gort clubman played the 'sweeper' role to telling effect and also found the target with a point for Micheal Donoghue's side.

8. Kevin Moran (Waterford)

Stung by the criticism following their below-par performance against Tipperary, the Deise came out fighting and their captain led by example.

9. David Burke (Galway)

Produced a towering performance for the Tribesmen in Semple Stadium as they saw off the considerable Banner County challenge.

10. Pauric Mahony (Waterford)

Finished with eight points (six frees) to his name and the Deise are now heading to Croke Park to take on the All-Ireland champions.

11. Lee Chin (Wexford)

The Model County attack malfunctioned as Chin was the only player to ask questions of the Waterford defence.

12. Colm Galvin (Clare)

Galvin could hold his head high following the six point defeat as he was the Banner County's best performer and shot five points from play.

13. Shane Bennett (Waterford)

It may not have been pretty but the result was all that mattered to Bennett, who sent over a brace of points, and his team-mates.

14. Joe Canning (Galway)

With their backs very much against the wall, the Portumna sharpshooter took the game to Clare and finished with 1-8 to his name.

15. Conor Cooney (Galway)

Cooney's 15th minute strike sent the Connacht men on the road to a deserved victory.
