Carrig taking nothing for granted

November 20, 2015

Wolfe Tones manager James Carrig has no doubt that his charges will have to be at their best in Sunday's Munster club IHC final.

The Clare champions take on Cork's Newcestown in Sunday's decider and the Tones go into the decider as favourites.

Nonetheless, Carrig stressed in the Clare Champion that nothing short of a good performance will do them on the day.

"Without a doubt, it won't be easy. You expect a good skillful team from Cork that are well able to take their scores," said Carrig.

"There is a bit of cockiness out of Cork as well, which makes them hard to beat. They will be confident."

He added: "We are there on merit, we are confident, we have worked hard this year and we deserve a crack at it and if we are good enough on the day, we are good enough."
