Although bitterly disappointed to be out of the Munster club SHC, Sixmilebridge manager John O'Meara is adamant that they have achieved their goal for the year.
O'Meara stressed to the Clare Champion their main aim for the year was to win the county title and they achieved that with their relatively young squad.
However, their Munster club campaign came to an end at the hands of Limerick champions Na Piarsaigh, but they still more to play for before the year is over.
"They are a small bit further down the road in their development that we are. The average age of our starting team was just over 23," said O'Meara.
"The main objective we had at the start of the year was that we would win Clare. We achieved that. We still have a cup final to look forward to and hopefully remain unbeaten in the county for the year."
